Even before you pop in your first game, you'll more than likely find yourself scrambling for a memory stick so that you can save games. As most of you know, the PSP is capable of more than just games, and to store all those MP4 movies and MP3 tracks you'll want a large capacity Memory Stick PRO Duo. ...
I'm a games, photo, music then videos guy. I use it to download video clips to my PC. I'm a photographer so I use my PSP to carry around a lot of photos. It has more space than I need. I only have it because there were no 1gb cards left, I've realized this card is HUGE itself So get it, in green!
I bought this mem stick a couple weaks ago for $60. It's basically 490 something MB in the PSP, but that's all I need. I can fit 40 songs and three 24 minute videos and a lot of photos. This memory stick and higher is required for the PSP and this is really good product. I got the green one and it's pretty cool looking.
If you don't have a hundred bucks to spend on a 1GB stick don't feel too bad. With programs like PSPVideo9 you can put decent length videos on this 512MB stick and have enough room left over for music and game saves. Currently I have a 90 minute movie and about 3 hrs of music (at 128k bitrate) on this card.
Also, the Sandisk Memory Stick is faster than the Sony one according to Gamespot.
What can I say? Great product. Was going to get the SanDisk 256, but for only 30 dollars more I could get double? Whoah. That was to good of a thing to pass up. You can fit more than enough music and perhaps a couple of movies. Check it, SanDisk 512MB.
For those of us who don't have the disposable income to dish out on a 1 or 2 GB memory stick, there IS an alternative.
For under $70, Sandisk offers a high capacity, high speed memory stick duo that comes in a fashionable blue color. (although many would argue the fact that the Memory Stick is hidden from sight)
Personally, 512 mb is the perfect amount of storage. You can store hundreds of songs, as well as your favorite TV shows, so you never get bored with what's on your PSP... and if you're a photo person, don't worry about losing space, there's plenty of room for all your pictures.
Quality wise, this is really great. Why pay so much more for the Sony Brand model when you can get this?
It's an amazing product that anyone would be happy with, and all for a price that you can handle. Great buy!
If you don't have enough for a 1GB, get a 512. It has enough space to store a full movie, I converted Rush Hour 2 and it was only about 280mb. I currently have about 50+ songs, a few videos, some manga, and a magazine in my 512. Buy this if you can get a deal from 40$-70$.
Very cool MS, it's large enough to throw on some tunes, and some magazines and of course your savegames. If you are planning to watch movies on your PSP you might want to consider buying a larger one.
This card is very nice. I got it for a real good price from Dell believe it or not. No complaints whatsoever. It comes with the memoy stick adapter so you can use it with the regular memory stick readers and soforth.
I bough mine last night with an adapter to use it as a standard Sony memory card. Quality is always a concern with me, and I usually try to buy the "name Brand" if available. The Sony 512 Pro Duo was $89.99, while the San Disk was on sale for $69.99 with a $10 instant rebate and a $20 mail in. I dove on the oportunity to get more memory.
Alot of stuff will fit on here. It formatted with no problems in the PSP, and all of my info transfered flawlessly. I now have 40 mp3s, an episode of Southpark, a trailer for Dust to Glory (movie) and 47 1024x768 photos on it with a little more than half the space being used ! For the price I am going back for another. I really did not want to use two cards, but as cheap as they are, and as easily as it was to transfer and use. I cant see a reason for getting a 1GB card. Great product.
Sandisk are one of the best makers of storage cards and sticks in he world. So when i got my MS duo pro 512mb I wasnt suprised at the quality of it. The memory stick (MS) I got cost me £40 ($75), the price of these is falling and sandisk have recently lowered the prices of their MS but you should expect to pay around $60-80 for one of these cards. The card came with a MS adapater so if you have another device that uses normal MS then you can use this and also the adapater allows the MS to fit in the the card reader I have.
The card is stated as 512MB however this is not comparable to 512mb of your computer storage. This is because computers have a MB as 1024 kb but the MS has a Mb as 1000kb. So the storage you have is around 470mb.
This is still a large ammount of storage. The transfere of data to the MS is fast and a movie of 400MB will take around 1minute to transfere on to the card.
I would recomend you to buy one of these, if you want to watch movies , listen to your music or show off your photos. If you want to have all your music and a movie on the stick at once i would get a 1GB MS but this stick is fine for a movie and an album or two.
