when i first got mine i had the same problem .the only way i was able to resolve it was my internet provider had to assign me another ip address to my computer and after that it has worked like a charm. i also have to pay 5 dollars a month extra for the other ip address but since the wifi max works so well i don't mind. the reason he said i needed the extra ip address is because my modem works with my computer and that has one ip address and for anything else to use my excisting internet connection would have to be assigned it's own ip address .so call your provider and see if this is your problem and hopefully they can help.it probably would have been easier to get an wireless router but because i have no other uses for it this seemed the better way to go. hoped this helped and i hope you can get it to work

Yes you need to call them cuase the IP is assigned to your MAC address, think of it as a hardware number so they know how many devices are accessing from that conncetion. I would like to get this but have not heard much on it so not sure if it even works. Anyone else have any trouble with it and is this even out in the US? I saw on ebay alot of them from the UK.

ok I had similar problems when I attempted to use mine for the first time as well. There is a simple, no phone calls way around that...

Open up the PSP WIFI Max Media Manager, Go to Options, then Change WiFi.

Click on Auto Setup, Apply, and OK.

Also, Make sure you have the correct Network Card chosen in Change WiFi. You'll know you have it right when the text in that box is solid black.

This should give you the functionality you're looking for. Mine's not given me problems at all. ^^

i know this is a silly question , but did you install the software before you plugged in the wifi max.and the only reason i ask is because my friend installed the wifi max first then the software he's not to good with instructions , so then we installed it the right way and those red messages were not there anymore. i know you probably did it right i just wanted to mention other possibilities
