It would be cool to be able to rename my movies after they have been compressed.
It would also be cool to be able to choose different compression settings per movie when I add them to the queue.
Thanks for the great software! +

Pickleman - i'm right with you there. I love the software but having it being able to do true syncing would be great. I love downloading content to my psp through the wireless network but when I sync to pspware it gets deleted.
Even if there were set dropboxes on the psp which don't get touched by pspware.

Oh yes.. I download from PSPDrive.com and then when opening PSPWare and then syncing, all my files I have downloaded are GONE! ARRRGGGHHH thats a but annoying. It makes me feel like PSPWare wants to own my PSP... entirely!!

I want to see some more downloads then, maybe some reall good movies, and trailers... both in low quality, and high. So it can work for both PSPers who use the 32mb or higher...

I just want it so that you dont have to quit the mp3 player to do everything else, and I reckon it would be cool to have the psp support dvix/xvid

This one is really a dream other then anything else, I have a Sony Ericsson K750i and I swap the memory stick between my PSP and my phone. It would be really cool if I could choose which folder I wanted to drop my mp3s into, as I listen to the mp3s on the phone and use my PSP for the other stuff. Unfortunately the K750 sets up its own folder structure and will only let you listen to music put in specific folders. The other upside would be that it would also work with the w800 as there is not much difference between the phones.

PSPware is awesome. I just wanted to start with that. After much noodling about I am back to using it for even video encoding. It's an all in one solution that works. Thank you.
Here are my feature requests -
1) Multiple sync profiles would not disable the ability to work with pspware when a psp is not connected.
2) Mutliple sync prolfies would allow you to have certain data aspects that are always the same on all cards... Like for instance, save games would be the same on all my cards (as Im swapping them out for media) - this would also let me keep track of most recent ones.
3) Options to sync that allow the program to not overwrrite media that may have been downloaded by the user directly to the psp. In fact, this should back it up to the PC, so we can swap files on and off accordingly.
4) VIDEO - give us AVC with h.264. What's this I read here and there about full resolution video clips beyond 368x208?
5) Please, please, please change the settings for encoding to reflect real bitrates. Not abstracts. Also, please include a super high quality option for 1500k/s encoding. For those of us who want it. Even if this is in an advanced menu.
6) Very important - please add a prompt that can be enabled that asks you to change settings every time you drag a video clip into the convertor. I often drag a clip in and realize im encoding a tv show thus i want 4:3 not 16:9 but the conversion has already started.
7) AUDIO - this may be too much to ask but it would be a killer feature if you could add it. Everyone agrees that the PSP's music playback volume is very low. The system probably lacks the high quality pre amp of an iPod for certain. How about an option that takes in mp3s and automatically reconverts them for the PSP adding a gain boost?
8) TEXT PAGES - the 2.0 browser lets you browse the file system. How about an option to convert documents into html formatted for the PSP pages? Then I could access them through the browser.
Thanks again for the great app.

otakuhouse - about #5 - the PSP can only understand up to approx. 800kb/sec video (at least, on 1.52, and I'm not aware of 2.00 changing this requirement).edited: Aug 24 2005

From pspwiki.org
Bitrate Limitation
1-768kb/s & 1500kb/s. Any combination of video and audio bitrate that is equal to or less than 768kb/s is acceptable (i.e. 640kb/s video + 128kb/s audio = 768kb/s total, or 300kb/s video + 32kb/s audio = 332kb/s total) The bitrate you select will directly impact both the quality and the file size of your video. The PSP™ also supports a bitrate of 1500kb/s, but no bitrates inbetween 768kb/s and 1500kb/s.
I have encoded videos that worked at 1500 kb/s using ffmpeg

Clie - MiniDisc - Vaio Pocket - Sony HD Players.... always the same problem... Sony USB Mass Device Driver for Mac!!
Hi, I own a Vaio Pocket and Sony Clie, my girlfriend has a Hi-MD minidisc, and I plan to buy a PSP... With all these Sony devices I see a problem... IMPOSSIBLE TO WORK WITH MAC USING THE USB CONNECTION!!! It seems Sony has re-defined the USB Mass Storage standard to work with PC's and not working with Mac (even using VirtualPC!!).
I am a registered user of Missing Sync for Clie, and if I buy one PSP, be sure I will register with you... but... please can you take a look to the Sony USB driver? I think this is a common problem and can be easy for you to provide the Sony USB Mass Storage Device Driver for Mac! and allow Mac users to use (at least) all of these Sony devices as Mass Storage devices for their computers.
Maybe it's impossible to write an unified Sony USB driver (I think Clie would be the most difficult, but Missing Sync already exists), but I think I will pay for all 3 softwares: the Missing Sync, the PSPWare and the hypothetic Sony USB Driver. And maybe someone can even codify a "sonicstage killer plug-in for iTunes"... ah... that will be great!!!

Don't know if any one has posted in this thread already (don't want to go thru the whole 14 pages). I think it will be great to have video output, so you can hook it up to a bigger video display unit, like TV or computer monitor.
