I know the size for wallpaper to fit perfectly on a PSP is 480x272 but how do I take a bigger wallpaper and shrink it down to those measurements? The only kind of paint program I have is MS Paint, which comes with all computers. How can I make a bigger wallpaper shrink down to 480x272 with that? Much thanks

use photoshop or the gimp and just scale the image down.

If you are putting it on your own PSP, it shrinks it down. If you are uploading it to the Wallpapers section of the aite, then try using the free Ifranview ( link ) I like it to resize images, and can save in approximately 14,208,345,723,023 different file types. The aforementioned Gimp, which is also free, can be found at this link . Hope this helps!

The Gimp is great. That scene from Pulp Fiction was hilarious.

Seriously, get GIMP. And while you're at it, check out openoffice.org. The whole MSMonopoly v. 2005 thang don't sit right with me.

Geezuz H Keyriste - don't you guys ever read the documentation (the V 2.0 docs for example)?

Take the image file, of almost any size image (who cares?), and simply drag and drop into your PSP. Bring the image up on the PSP screen in the usual manner and then do something that you may have never done before... ...Zoom and scroll (RTFM). Then, when What You See Is What You Want (WYSIWYW), then press the buttons in the normal 2.0 manner to make it (as displayed !!!!!!!!) wallpaper.

95% of the time you do not need to 'format the image to fit the PSP screen whiney whiney' using any PC/Apple SW. Only if you need to perform other image editing would you need to do, ah, image editing. Zooming and Scrolling and subsequent Cropping and Reformatting are all built into the PSP - either in the picture viewer or in the wallpaper grabber function.
