On Lumines what are people generally scoring on the time attack mode?
I can get 31 squares in 60 seconds and 93 in 180 seconds. Probably very bad scoring but I think this time attack is the best part of Lumines. +

man, i wish it worked. i hit 88 in 60 seconds. anyone know when the bin will have v2.0 support?

my guess is sometime after the 12th.

getting closer to become the third person to reach the 100 mark, i see. good stuff

This weekend is dedicated to helping my girlfriend move to her new apartment and getting a better score on sixty second timed attack in Lumines.

anyone can get to 999999, whether you play fast or slow. but getting to 100, now thats different. the closest score ive seen to my own is 125 or so, this player being the only other lumines player to reach triple digits. he was my competition for a long while, but then i did a lance armstrong and pulled away from the pack.

but you never had severe arthritis and blisters, which is kinda the equivalent to cancer and kemo or whatever he went through...
i get your point however

i've been doing 60secs over and over for like two days and i'm getting slowly better at it, my average score is going up. i can usually get high sixties or seventies everytime, but i've only hit 80's like four times including my high of 88.

start the combo as soon as the sweeper passes. if theres nothing that is useful, then u have to sacrifice time in order to make the huge combos. set up what you wanna place, like i did in the video i made, not every time the sweeper passes i make a combo. i set up what i wanna do, glance at whats coming next, and drop them to where i can get the best score and set up for next move. sounds complicated, but keep watching the vid, it should help lots
+
that makes sense, i think i need bigger combos instead of a lot of little ones
+
this mode should also help u increase the speed u drop the blocks along with the accuracy of where u drop them. as long as u glance to the blocks coming, ya should be able to think ahead of what ya wanna do. and if ya played time attack enough times, 60 sec mode i mean, you'll begin to notice there is a pattern of how the blocks are given. im not sure of how many different ways there are, but it is noticeable because i end up doing the same starting moves as i did the last time a specific block sequence came up.
+
it takes about 4 seconds for the sweeper to pass, so during the last sweep, start dropping them wherever. dont set up any combos, just get the score. when the time hits 7 -8 seconds, that means theres two sweeps left, that should be the last time u set any combos up.
+
okay. i think i'm starting to see what you mean about the pattern and i'm getting better at always looking ahead. thanks for the advice
+
when u consistently get 70s - 80s each time, it should start to feel real easy
