I didn't see anything on this forum about this, so I thought it would be helpful for people to hear about a hard drive you can connect to the PSP. I read about the Apacer Share Steno CD311 on the Playstation forum and now after buying one for myself, I can tell you it's great. I brought about 15 movies and all the Critic episodes with me on a long trip. It was very easy to connect the Steno to the PSP, delete the videos I just watched and then copy new videos to the memory stick on the PSP.

I got mine for $149 at supermediastore.com, which is just a little more than a 1 GB Duo, but it holds almost 40 Duos worth of videos. And you don't have to super-compress your videos to awful quality to get them all to fit on your Duo.

The Steno mounts the PSP memory stick so you can browse the memory stick's files on the Steno. It has a very tiny display and a crude, but useable interface to delete and copy files back and forth between the Steno's hard drive and the PSP.

No, as of current the cap for a PSP is, I believe, 6GB (or 16GB, I forget).

Cap for PSP is the cap for Memory Stick Pro Duo which is 4gb. Which is a small reason why the hard drive is only 4gb, limitations with the standard.

Technically, there is not limit to the size of an MSD. Sony could drop one that eceeds 4GB and has FAT32 and it'll work with any MSD compliant device that can understand FAT32. But since the PSP doesn't have FAT32 support yet, the biggest MSD we'll see is a 4GB.

so will there be a way like within this coming year that you will be able to have a external hard drive to directely be accesed from psp, im asking because in contemplaiting getting an archos av500
