I didn't see anything on this forum about this, so I thought it would be helpful for people to hear about a hard drive you can connect to the PSP. I read about the Apacer Share Steno CD311 on the Playstation forum and now after buying one for myself, I can tell you it's great. I brought about 15 movies and all the Critic episodes with me on a long trip. It was very easy to connect the Steno to the PSP, delete the videos I just watched and then copy new videos to the memory stick on the PSP.

I got mine for $149 at supermediastore.com, which is just a little more than a 1 GB Duo, but it holds almost 40 Duos worth of videos. And you don't have to super-compress your videos to awful quality to get them all to fit on your Duo.

The Steno mounts the PSP memory stick so you can browse the memory stick's files on the Steno. It has a very tiny display and a crude, but useable interface to delete and copy files back and forth between the Steno's hard drive and the PSP.

Enjoy!

I just got my steno. So far, I like it with one exception...when browsing the hard drive, this unit doesn't organize the files. Or at least not in alphabetical order. Does anybody know what method it's using to display the files on the hard drive? I can reorganize the files if I know what system they're using. Please let me know. Thanks.

you should get this with a 1GB stick...and what I have heard it is bigger than the PSP, so it probably weighs a little bit more.

Hi! I recently bought this usb 2.0 OTG (on the go) 2.5" hdd enclosure to empty the contents of my SD/MS while outdoors, The firmware is really limited and it just allows to copy contents from the card to the hard drive, but no browser to select files or folders is available, so this is quite useless with the PSP in mind... Anyway I wonder if an application could be written to browse from the psp (client) files located in a host storage device (a PC or an OTG HDD), in this case it could be possible to move files from the Duo to the HDD and Vice-versa, in a simple convenient manner. By the way the enclosure costs only 36 bucks, and you can use any laptop Hdd you have. Here's the photo... link

Hope someone with programming skills takes on the job, the possibilities are awesome....

See you all..
