I use the PSP media manager for my psp. I know its pretty much useless for anything other than formating and that is the only reason I use it. Anyway, whenever I would make a transfer from my compurer to my PSP using the media manager, it would come up as corrupt data. I formatted my memory stick and that worked at first, but I could only make one succesfull transfer. I transfered all of my photos and then when i tried to put on my music it was all corrupt. I fromatted it over and over and i'm still having the same problem: i can only make one succesful transfer.

When I look on the computer at the files on my PSP some of the files are really messed up. Some music files are full of photos!?! The original files are fine but the transfered ones are screwed up.

must be a defect or something and the media manger is useless
i have a psp and a usb cable
for music and photos ,its just drag and drop-u dont really need to transfer anything
just open up the psp folders where you put the music files and move the music file and put it in the folder see if that works

when i reinstall the media manager it works at first but i still end up with some empty files or corrut data. They arent the same files every time so i know it can't be the original files.

whats format is NTFS and whats is that?
thanks

NTFS is windows PC format. Its something like FAT16 and FAT32 expect its a newer format. Try uninstalling media manager, then go to program files folder and remove everything that is related to media manager. Then format the memory stick using the computer to NTFS and reinstall media manager.

This might work

thanks alot!!!
i think the source of my problem may be somewhere else.
I successfuly transfered all of my music files, but then i couldn't get on any photos. I reinstalled Median Manager and formated my memory stick, and was able to transfer all my photos, but not my music. Each time i made a successful transfer i copied the file and saved it onto my computer, so that i knew that i had good files to load back on later.
After this I decided to forget the Media Manager and just copy and paste the files I knew were good. But after some files were transfered it would stop and an error comes up.
My next idea was to transfer the good files onto a USB flash drive and go try it on another computer. At this point the error i got said "requested resource in use"
IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO FIX THIS ERROR PLEASE!!!!HELP ME.Im going on a trip in two weeks and really would like this fixed
thanks!!

if you use a non-sony battery it tells the system that the battery is at 100% all the time

What are you talking about, Qwerty? The system has no idea what battery you're using.

it sounds like your psp folders may be screwed up. What you could do is just a reset back to default on your PSP. Then try doing the media manager again. Just a thought. Hopefully you will have success.

I just had this problem with an 8 GB Memory Stick Pro Duo I bought from eBay. I tried to copy mp3 files over and as soon as it was completed and I disconnected USB Mode, the files would become corrupted. Some of the corrupted files were reading as being in size of over 100 GB! I put my Memory Stick into my PC card reader, the card would read as being 3.97 GB or 4 GB and say it needed to be formatted. I didn't dare format the card using the PC since it was an 8 GB card and the PC was misreading it as being only 4 GB.

I realized the drivers for my internal card reader were old, so I went to HP's website, and the drivers on their site for my computer were old as well (2005). So I went to link and found a recent driver (2007). My card reader was now reading about 8 GB and I could view all of the files.

Go to "My Computer", right click on the Memory Stick and select "Properties". In the window that appears, under "Error-Checking", click the button that says "Check Now..." The computer will scan your Memory Stick for errors such as corrupt files and try to repair them. For me, it turned the corrupted folders into files without extensions which I could easily delete (since the corrupted folders with any files in them (visible or not) became undeletable).

If copying through USB to the PSP is causing corrupt files, try copying using an external or internal card reader. I hope this helps.
