you know with the iphone from apple which has been released
and the fact that it has touch screen capabilities and no keypad (which is good)
do you think that IF a psp2 comes out ,do u think it will have touch screen?
i mean only for stuff like internet(typing would be faster)
not necessarily for games ,much like what the DS does
or is touch screen pushing it too far?

Touch screens are great - providing you enjoy looking at the lovely graphics through a film of smudged fingerprints.

God no! Please not another touch screen device. One of the reasons why there are so many horrible DS games is because of that retched touch screen. The PSP is great as it is. They just need to tighten up the design a bit, add a slot load UMD, add a better analog stick, add L2/R2 buttons, and do away with the shiny surface.

Maybe they could get someone who isn't left-handed to design the PSP-2. Seems obvious that whoever designed the UMD system on the PSP is a leftie.

I like the shiny surface. I'd rather have another analog than 2 more buttons.. but that would certaintly add alot of functionality. Touchscreen smudgescreen, giveme 8 gig of onboard memory instead.

you know what would be great
is if we gotten all the buttons from a ps2 controller onto the psp
i mean the psp is missing L2 R2 right analog L3 and R3
and make the analogs like the controller make them round not like the psp, which is flat and uncomfortable

this would greatly help gameplay like all the socom games
like chance said 8 gig on board would be sweet
and i wish sony would put like a "combine memory "
for example 1gig memory stick +8gig on board memory=9 gigs
or use it for internet so we never get a "not enough memory "again

Well if it does happen I hope it going to be an Apple iPhone level, not the pocket pc touch screen the suck most of the time. Also, I hope with the new Sony works out some problems and include a built in 4 GB of memory. MEMORY IS SO EXPENSIVE!!!!

true dat,it better have a new design ,the current 1 gives me hand cramps after a while,4 gig is 2 little we should get to 10 gigs
that would be sweet

adding touchscreen functionality to the PSP wouldnt be a great idea. DS already has it, and many people will think Sony copied the idea from DS because of its better sales. It's bad enough people think sony copied off Wii with the PS3 SIXAXIS at the last moment.

The ideal PSP2 would probably be:
2nd analog nub
slot loading UMD
thinner design
L2, R2 buttons
faster CPU, more RAM = better graphics

no..the ps3 didnt do it at the last moment, it was announced when the goofy "boomerang" controller was announced...

My PSP 2 concept:

2 analog nubs
Maybe L2 and R2
No UMD(game downloads)
Hard Drive 20gigs

conroy101 has the right idea but i would want touch screen ONLY for internet so i can type faster NOT for games
and 20 gigs would be sweet but if games can be downloaded they may be up to like 6 gigs and if games were 6gigs or higher than we would not have much space, theres rumors about umd slot loader in the psp2 which i guess would work better
