I press the button to start it, works fine till 70% then an error comes up saying i don't have enough disk space. I check my disk space and i still got 20 gigs. I try again and the same error comes up at 70%. Is it a bug in the program? +

Make sure to change your "Destination" to your hard drive. The first time I use DVD Decrypter, I didn't change the destination and it was set to my DVD drive at default, so it was trying to copy the files to the DVD which I was copying from, and I got a not enough space error messege.

My guess is that your disk is formatted as FAT32. This has a file size limit of 4Gb. When it can't write any more, the operating system error is its 'best guess' as to why. You will need to convert your disk to NTFS or use a different drive.

What decrypter are you using?

For once, Microsoft have a useful tech note on this:-

Note that although NTFS allows files larger than 4Gb, the space on the disk is used less efficiently for smaller files. Make sure you have plenty of free disk space (at least 30%) before you attempt conversion. An alternative may be to use a USB Hard Disk formatted as NTFS (they ship formatted as FAT32 as standard) for your video files. This is only any use if you have USB 2.0 as USB 1.0 is too slow.edited: Jan 12 2007

mine is fat32 and i use dvd deycrpter and no problem

dvd decrypter will work fine with FAT32. The default is to split the video into 1Gb files to overcome the limitations of FAT32. However, this then presents problems when you want to convert this for the PSP. It will also work OK when set to not split the video file, as long as the file does not exceed 4Gb.
