ok at first i thought i had a defected psp so i got another one lol so i did all the right things to try and get a connection but it still doesnt work.

Ive checked my router, and everything is fine with it. My friend lives with me and he has a psp and his connection works but my psp wont work. Both of our information is the same its just mine wont connect because it keeps saying "A connection error has occurred. The attempt to obtain the IP address timed out." =/

ive had this happen, its not a PSP Problem, its your problem, get closer to the connection point, that should solve it

Here how about this...on your computer, go to your start menu, then run...type cmd...when the window pops up, type "ipconfig" then get the connections IP Address, default gateway...etc...edit your connection to manual for the IP settings...(on the psp) when everyting is inputed MANUALLY, then try again...that should work... V_O

then blah blah and then it says Internet Connection Failed =/

i got the ip address then the subnet mask then the default router, what do i put for primary dns and secondary dns? Will that help me at all?

bwahahah i found out the problem ahhhhh i feel like a fool, the problem was i put in the wrong pw xD hahahhaha but thank you all for helping me out haha

i had this problem ages ago.....just go to "SYSTEM" then "Restore default settings"

HAhahahah!!! Well, sometimes WEP can be confusing...because you would normally put in (for example, my SSID is Shadow, and my WEP code (that I typed into the router was) Chaos...) If you were to type "Chaos" into the PSP, it wouldn't work, it needs then hex decimal stuff... ie: q700LT06 or something like that...

you can disable the PW under security settings by turning off the browser security....

hey guys! well im having the same sort of problem! when I test the connection it says :"a connection error has occured. The connection to acces point timed out" anybody can help please??

i have need for speed most wanted 510 and the internet game dosent let me play and when it starts to connect to the game server it keeps saying please try at a nother time and i do i try at night in the morning and it still say the same thing so if you can help me that would be great
