Went to EB games yesterday for a Nyko THeater Expirence,and was talking with the salesman and he said that the psp sales were in the dumper. Game production slowdown, UMD movies no longer being produced by any production company,lack of new accessories/add ons save for the GPS system. so do you think he's right? He said that the DS was totally out selling the PSP even with the price drop. is the psp doomed? or will it be a phoenix? +

I prefer the PSP over the DS bcause the games a more in depth. Thats one of the reasons I chose the PSP.

DS sales are better because 1) they aren't ridiculously overpriced, 2) LOL, there are enjoyable games for the DS, 3) games brand new cost at most €45 with most games able to be purchased at even €20 and 4) Pick up and playability.

well pspfanboy has recently been puttingup a lot of (whining) posts about how DS is outselling the PSP.
its annoying, i wish theyd put up real news, i dont care about sales charts that much, i mean like every other blog is about sales charts! we got the picture, DS is winning, gawd!

finally i agree with you kage. and i am not surprised the ds is winning the so call war, its in a different market and the psp is in a different market. the ds market is bigger and the ds is at a more affordable price, just in japan i dont know why they dont like the psp that much. this month the sell of the psp in japan 18,000 units and the ds 629,000.......like WOW that is alot more. i think the ds sell are normall and if there was no psp the sells would be the same for the ds in japan. i think the sells for the psp are just really really bad so it makes the ds sells look better. as for me if there was no psp i would not have a handheld system. never like the gameboy or gba and never played portable games alot before. the psp change that for me and alot of my friends.

sorry my fault last post very silly its just i thought i saw someone say about the ps3 coming out and all i was trying to say id buy a psp and a console becus their for different purposes!! i cudnt give a toss about jap sales of the ds at the end of the day everyones into their own thing some like psp some like ds but why shoot down the psp on a website made for psp!! some people are never grateful and for those i suggest you back to playing crap on the gamboy!!!!!!!

I own a Ds Lite, buying a psp soon. The psp doesn't suck, it jsut needs better marketing, with the deals I'm seeing. It would be ashame for me not to buy one. I'm sick of console gaming and I have too much back logs of incompleted games. Getting my entertainment pack next week for 250 bux. Trust me, people doubt the psp because they always view it as a failure when the only thing that failed was the UMD movies. When Sony gets on the ball and offer movie downloads online, you will see more support. Gaming wise, it's getting a decent amount, can't complain it's the closest thing to a console you can play on the go. Oh and I'm buying this 60% for media and 40% for gaming.Ipod are too much of a rip off and I love the deals i'm seeing like I said before. It has potential, it's the stupid fanboys who get the internet hyped up about it failing. Sales wise yep DS is winning because it's cheaper plain and simple and it has a brand name thats been strong in handheld department for a long time. Psp works trust me, firmware life span and ahead in hardware, it could survive for a pretty long time. Nothing wrong with supporting both handhelds and I'm getting more of a bang for my buck with this psp deal.

I can't wait for some online video downloads, kind of like a Itunes for Sony, that would be awesome. I really want to download movies and tv shows and stuff. that would be sweet and give me a reason to buy a 4gb memory stick. Great Idea ! I have been thinking of that for a while.
