Went to EB games yesterday for a Nyko THeater Expirence,and was talking with the salesman and he said that the psp sales were in the dumper. Game production slowdown, UMD movies no longer being produced by any production company,lack of new accessories/add ons save for the GPS system. so do you think he's right? He said that the DS was totally out selling the PSP even with the price drop. is the psp doomed? or will it be a phoenix? +

I don't get though why ye are just accepting the failure of the PSP as a handheld GAMING device. If I wanted GPS, I'd buy a TomTom, If I wanted an interent browser, I go on my laptop, etc etc etc. I bought the PSP to play games, not to listen to movies, watch films, navigate my way around the playe and so on. I can pick up my DS lite on the bus, have a game of MK, or MPH or whatever for the 15 minutes I'm on the bus and actually enjoy myself. I feel short changed by Sony TBH, I think Nintendo though really have shoved t back into their face tho

yeah, well, I want games that are long, but not the same thing OVER AND OVER, Like i bought burnout, And it was Fun for a while, Till they stopped doing Crash Modes, I was like "wtf? why are there no crash modes" its just Pursuit Road Rage, and Race, AND SOMETIMES BURNING LAP, but im in the 5th section thing, and ive only had like 3 Crash things

i want the psp to do all those things and have good games. and it does, the only problem is the games are too in depp to be portable. the games are to much like the ps2 games and ps2 games where not made to be portable. too many ports, but i think they are fixing this and there are alot more and better games coming out. i dont think it is over. alot of people are still liking the psp just not in japan. but i dont think it is a FAILURE as a handheld GAMING device it just needs some work, its still young.

Swhite put it perfectly, Sony needs to here what we say and fix it, The games are wayyyyyy to deep to be portable, wii need some fun and portable games, are long or even endless, yet really easy to pick up for 3.783 minutes and play at a break, also, again I will say, UMD's should be 15 dollars or less, and with the release of a legal PSONE emulator........ I think sony will do fine and the psp will live if they fix those minor things. They are really minor, cheaper umd's , more portable games, Sony we are not asking that much of you!!!!!
The psp is long from dead in my opinion.

I have faith in the the psp.....the ps1 did good the ps2 is doing good and so psp will do good. I think UMD's are a great format...dont understand why alot of ppl hate

i think that the music, videos, pictures, and other stuff is overwhelming! i can never decide on what to get at the store and what does what. they should have stuck with video games and movies. the movie idea was great! i wonder why it died out...also if they focused mainly on those 2 things it would be a hell of a lot easier to produce more of the video games we would all love to have on a portable system. madden is a good example even though it is already for the PSP.

the psp has only been out for a year and a half. it is not over and they are making money from it, sony made over 1.6 billion the first year because of it. and it sold more then gamecube and the xbox. just the ds is selling more thanks to japan. it sold alot more than any other hand held system that went againts nintendo in the portable system war. just because it didnt have a strong year doesnt mean its down the drain. there alot coming up for the games and the stuff with the ps3 and PSONE emulator. its not dead its only beginning.

really annoys me when people compare consoles to handhelds do you compare ipods to stereos?? i dunno maybe im missing something!! when i get my psp im still keepin my ps2 and when i have enuf saved ill buy an xbox 36o BUT still keep my psp!! just becus something new is coming out you dont have to replace just add to your collection!! psp is portable the others are not so theirs no way on gods green earth that you should comapare them!!
