After watching a few people play the new mario, I broke down and bought the new DS lite. I was always sceptical of the whole dual-touch-screen thing but I like it a lot. Infact, If it was multimedia capable then I would probably sell the psp (flame away) but I have both so no worries. Games are way more abundant than the PSP which is awsome. I was getting bored with the PSP as there were no games I really wanted to play anymore. Bought the following for it too...new mario bros, mario 64 DS, metroid, Goldeneye, and Sonic. Been completely hooked on the marios and the 64 for DS is great. While the graphics don't quite compare to the PSP obviously, the game play has been more fun than most and the games are definately longer. Still unsure of the touch screen...it works well in metroid as the "look" function...somewhat like using a mouse I guess. Being forced to use it to save a game kinda sucks....would rather just hit A or another button. I am definately a believer in the DS now, for pure game enjoyment its awsome and I would dare to say that its better than the psp. The graphics don't compare as well as the screen res but the level of fun has been more than I was having with the PSP. I am not an avid gamer either but I have been glued to it for a few nights since purchase....so has my fiancee and a couple friends of mine. Just thought I would share....don't count me out for the old psp though...won't leave my sites for awhile. +

I also have both, but I find myself playing games on my PSP more. New Super Mario was definitely my favorite on the DS so far. Great game. But I'm currently playing Loco Roco and still getting through GTA: LCS.

The regular DS's look like BRICKS.
they made the DS Lite to compete fully with the PSP's size.
And it looks cool, but not as cool as the pspedited: Sep 27 2006

I had the DS Lite for about two months, then sold it on ebay. The graphics just seem cheap compared to the psp. The gameplay-fun isn't heightened through the touchscreen - i found it really hard to hold & control.
@ BestofWest - Metroid was the one i enjoyed most during my short ownership.

I have the PSP and the regular DS, I got it for Christmas a 2 or 3 years ago, 2 christmases ago alright! Anyway, I havent played it in FOREVER! I can't find any good games for the DS, although the DS Lite does look better, it just made me furious when they announced it! Because so many people had already bought the DS...to me it was like the whole thing with the alleged "PSP 2", It just makes you mad, so I've given up on Nintendo, I may or may not buy the Wii, just because of that descision!

I have them both too, I find myself playing with the DS more but I use the psp for downloading video podcast and doing internet stuff. Don't get a 360 worst console ever. I am on my third 360 granted all replacements were free getting the exchance was still a hastlle.

well i havent touched my psp in months just no games that i want atm i might sell it prolly not but who knows.

I have several games for DS now. Also have NESand DS roms on the media dock but I am thinking about selling it. Not because its not fun, but because I have too much stuff and don't use it. I will still keep the psp because my faith in the games that could* be released and the multimedia purposes. If it was only games though, the psp would probably go...or both I should say. Both are great systems and are not really comparable for competition purposes in my eyes. Many see differently but its like apples and oranges.

Oh, and yes, he playes them BOTH all day long...and all night..he has no life...
